Easter bank holiday is nearly upon us, and based upon last years historical traffic data from TomTom HD Traffic, the worst day to get away with your loved ones was Thursday, whilst Good Friday and Easter Monday showed lower than usual traffic on the roads. The predicted bad weather conditions may add to the traffic misery though, as last year's weather wasn't as severe.
2009's Easter bank holiday TomTom HD Traffic statistics for Thursday, the busiest traffic day, were as follows:

2009's Easter bank holiday TomTom HD Traffic statistics for Thursday, the busiest traffic day, were as follows:
- The morning rush hour peaked at 7am with a total of 400kms of traffic incidents.
- The area to avoid in the morning was Junction 22 - Junction 17 of the M25 where there was a 11.7km traffic delay.
- The afternoon rush hour started 1.5 hours earlier than usual with a total of 1500kms of traffic incidents.
- The area to avoid in the afternoon was Junction 17 - Junction 26 Maple Cross of the M25
