Network Distributing has announced the release of early colour monster B-movie Konga for 13th May. Carrying a recommended retail price of £9.99, this comes with an image gallery, trailer and press materials in PDF format.
Presented in it's original 1.66:1 aspect ratio courtesy of a brand-new transfer from the original SpectaMation film elements, the runtime will be 90 minutes of fearful entertainment.
The movie stars Michael Gough, Margo Johns and Claire Gordon, is directed by John Lemont and shot at Merton Park Studios for Anglo-Amalgamated.

Dr Decker is a botanist and university professor, but also the sole survivor of a plane crash in Africa. When he returns from the jungle he brings with him a baby chimpanzee, Konga.
During the course of his experiments, Decker discovers a serum that causes Konga to grow to the size of a gorilla and, eventually, to obey his will.
Encountering both opposition to his experiments and following a love affair thwarted by a rival, he decides to put the supersized ape to terrifying use that terrorises London.
