Review for WWE Brock Lesnar: Eat. Sleep. Conquer. Repeat.

    9 / 10

Brock Lesnar is the very definition of 'Spectacle'. Much in the same way that people used to come to wrestling events to see Andre the Giant, many people have sold out arenas to see Lesnar do what he does best. In his own words (or the words of Paul Heyman) Eat. Sleep. Conquer. Repeat.

This Bluray set looks at Brock Lesnar's life and as an accompaniment to his previous sets it is a perfect look at just how massive he has become in his time in WWE and beyond. Accompanying the set are fourteen (plus five bonus) matches which just show how great he is and always was.

One great rare match is him against the late great Curt Hennig in his Mr Perfect persona. Both are just 'perfect' and you can see from this early outing in 2002 that he was always destined to be great. They include his match agaionst Kurt Angle from Summerslam, which is possibly the best example of Lesnar as a pure genetic wrestling freak. Against Angle it is just amazing to see them both go at it.

From his redebut they include almost every match he has been part of. These include his amazing two matches against Triple H from Summerslam and Extreme Rules which proved that even though he is semi-retired, Triple H can pull off an amazing match.

His match against CM Punk at Summerslam is a phenomenal match and really showed just how good CM Punk was to adapt and hang with someone the size of a Brock Lesnar. The match is a sight to behold and certainly one of the best matches from either of their career.

They oddly only include one match against John Cena at Summerslam and though he had better matches against him, this was a great way to show just how dominant Lesnar was against the face of the WWE.

He faces Seth Rollins three times in the set. The fantastic triple threat with John Cena, which is one of the most intense versions of this match that I have ever seen. His match against Roman Reigns at Wrestlemania, which then became a triple threat with Rollins cashing in still feels cheap, but I completely understand it. Finally he faces him solo at Battleground in what was a great match from both.

Obviously they include his conquering of the Undertaker's streak and no matter what your opinion of how stupid it was, you have to admit it was a great match. As is his later match against him at Hell in a Cell. Though I still think they should ahve went all out and it could have been better.

The Bluray comes with an extra five matches of which the only two worth watching are his match against Cena at Night of Champions and his insane Streetfight against Dean Ambrose at Wrestlemania. It is a shame that they didn't include more rare matches as it would have been great to see more of his OVW days.

Brock Lesnar is certainly a sight to behold and this set really does well in showing just why he is such a main event draw. Whether it is against John Cena, Undertaker or CM Punk he always brings out the best in them and the beast in himself. Even if he only wrestles once or twice a year, you know that it is a match that is worth your attention and hopefully he can continue on conquering.
