Review for WWE: 2016 Annual
WWE Annual 2016 is a strange beast, because it really should be called WWE Annual 2015. This seems to be a trend with WWE that they seem to release these sets a year after they took place, but still mark them with the year they were released. The newest thing across the two sets is the overview of November 2015.
Now I have reviewed both sets included here: Best of Raw and Smackdown 2015 and Best PPV Matches of 2015 and here are my overviews of them:
“The Best of Raw and Smackdown 2015 is a great set and one that every WWE fan who doesn't want to watch every episode should pick up. I found that I enjoyed much more of it than I remember doing when it was on. Maybe within a three hour Raw a match or moment may just be a blur, but separate from all the ads, Michael Cole constant shilling of the WWE App or build to a PPV this is a great way to experience the best that WWE has to offer.”
“2015 was a strange year for WWE. It was a year that cemented Seth Rollins as a main eventer, that saw John Cena bring some credibility back to the US Championship. It saw the Divas attempt a revolution as well as an improvement in the Tag division too. We saw more of The Undertaker than we have for a number of years and the introduction of many of the future stars from NXT. This set shows off some of the best of the year and if you haven't bought all the PPVs of the year and you want to experience the best of WWE from the year then this is the set to buy.”
To be honest I could probably say the same things as above about this set. If you haven't bought them it is nice to have them both here in one set. I just wish WWE would start releasing these in January to at least cover an entire year and not just end in November, particularly the PPV one which always misses out 1-2 PPVs of the year.
That being said, if you are a WWE fan and you want to watch some of the best, don't want to purchase everything and want a good overview of 'most' of 2015 in WWE then this is definitely the set for you.
