Review of Angel`s Dance
Introduction
Steve Rosellini (Belushi) recycles. Steve Rosellini is a vegetarian. Steve Rosellini believes in reincarnation. Steve Rosellini is a hit man.
Tony Greco is from a Mafia family, on his way up, being groomed for the top. Don Vinnie send Tony to Rosellini to learn the ways of becoming a hired gun, to remove a small problem in the family`s accounts.
Rosellini, or The Rose, teaches Tony how to commit the perfect crime, on a person chosen from the phonebook.
And then it all goes wrong.
Video
Another VCI release that doesn`t come up to standard. This image is more watchable than others from the same company but still suffers from the same problems of a soft blurry picture.
It is framed at full screen 4:3.
Audio
Same problems again with the audio. It`s as though not much effort goes into the mastering of these discs.
A stereo soundtrack that does nothing to add to the action on the screen, merely accompanying it.
Features
Scene access and trailer.
Conclusion
A very enjoyable film. I am a fan of Belushi`s anyway but this was a movie I had not experienced before and was suitably impressed.
The story is a little slow at first but picks up both speed and interest towards the middle and end.
It really is a shame this disc was let down my poor audio and video as there was a definite hit in my view if some more care had been taken.
