    Review of Yogalates Energizer

    5 / 10

    Introduction

Ok, I`ll come clean. I`m no Yoga expert and I`m no Pilates expert. I do try and keep fit and healthy, by eating well and exercising by taking regular walks or going geocaching. So that`s my basic fitness plan - eat sensibly, take some exercise.

However, this is a multi-million pound market we`re dealing with here, so such simple plans don`t tend to offer money making opportunities. Yogalates is a growth area, combining the twin disciplines of Yoga and Pilates. There are many such DVDs now out on the market, and this one offers you more workouts to improve your health and fitness.

This is Solomon Yogalates, developed by the presenter of the DVD, Louise Solomon.

    Video

Your Yogalates work out is brought to you in a full screen 4:3 presentation. And the video quality is just fine, with nothing to complain about. It is a full frame transfer, but it`s only a fitness video, so widescreen isn`t really that important.

It`s mostly shot in a white studio, with a few shots filmed outside by the pool, and a few moody shots of the gorgeous Byron Bay in Australia.

    Audio

A DD2.0 stereo track. No great musical tracks to test your system, just a standard kind of Yoga style chill out music. Voices are clear, the sound is ok, but nothing to get excited about.

    Features

A short section on relaxation and meditation is also available.

    Conclusion

Okay, so this is Yogalates on DVD. As I`ve said already, I have my own health and fitness regime and it seems to be working just fine. However, there are plenty of people that swear by Yogalates, and its energising abilities. If you`re one of them or you want to give it a try, then this DVD is for you. There`s about 90 minutes of workout here, and plenty to get you going.

As with most exercise routines, you`ll need to keep them up for a good while to see any benefit, so there`s plenty of repeat-play value in this DVD. It`s not really my thing, but it looks good for those of you who might be interested in it.
