Don't let go...
Tia and Mike Baye never imagined they'd become the type of overprotective parents who spy on their kids. But their sixteen-year-old son Adam has been having a severe bout of sulky teen syndrome, and after the suicide of his classmate Spencer Hill, they can't help but worry that something more lies at the heart of his current malaise. There suspicions lead them to spy on him by snooping on his computer and phone.
Meanwhile, Chief Investigator Loren Muse is called to a suspicious crime scene and is curious about several things that appear out of place.
This is yet another brilliant stand alone thriller from Coben. Like "The Innocent" before it (another great stand alone tale), it's set in the Myron Bolitar "universe" (the long running series that Coben is probably best known for), and you'll recognise some characters from other books, but you do not need to have read any other Coben books to enjoy this one. An interesting look at what's going on beneath the surface of your average all-American family.
It moves along at a great pace, and the technology involved is indeed real and believable. A cracking read.
