Synopsis:
Carla Gravina (La Terrazza) stars as Hipolita, a young woman literally crippled by a childhood trauma and the memory of her mother's death, and suffering a profound crisis of faith. When her father (Mel Ferrer, War and Peace) comes to believe her illness is not only physical, he enlists the help of a psychiatrist who leads her to remember a past life as a witch during the inquisition. As she experiences a series of vivid flashbacks to her demonic past Hipolita becomes possessed and starts seducing local men and then killing them. Seemingly immune to the attentions of Science and Religion, an exorcism seems to be the only solution to stop the madness! Featuring a series of wildly original horror vignettes, The Antichrist has achieved cult status amongst fans of European Horror, and also features a stunning soundtrack from Academy Award nominated composer Ennio Morricone (The Untouchables, Once Upon A Time In America).
