NBA Champions 2007-2008: Boston Celtics

Say basketball teams and what do you think? LA Lakers. Chicago Bulls. Harlem Globetrotters maybe? Not Boston Celtics. Granted if you lived in Boston and liked basketball this might be the first one you think of, but for most people Boston Celtics were always the little team that tried who were always in the hunt, but without a title win since 1986.

Not this year!

The 2007-2008 season was possibly one of the most dramatic ever with a seemingly unstoppable Lakers, led by MVP Kobe Bryant that makes this DVD spectacular to watch. If you are a Lakers fan you can obviously rest happy that the year after you won the title, but the ending of this season haunted them throughout the 2008-2009 one.

I enjoyed this DVD, there was a lot of action and when the Celtics are on fire it is a magical moment. However, as good as they are this was almost like watching a 'Best Goals from the Third Division' sure, they are still great goals, but as I knew no one from the team it was like watching faceless players go at it on the court. As with the Lakers DVD, I do wish they had included a few full games instead of just fourth quarter highlights, but the footage on the DVD is great for what it is. There is also a lot of footage that will keep Celtics fans happy and a lot of focus on players Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen, quite rightly so.

For fans of the Celtics, this is a great disk to remember this victory, for basketball fans it has some great stuff too, just don't expect to be blown away by it.
