Your Opinions and Comments
The picture is presented in a 2.35:1 anamorphic print, which is clean and crisp. There are no noticable artefacts or glitches, and the picture is very stable.
Audio is fairly good - the Dolby Digital 5.1 track packs a lot of punch - literally. Every thud and crack is faithfully reproduced. Some of the scenes are dubbed (notably the first scenes), but this does not detract from the action. There is also a 2.0 channel Dolby Surround track which lacks some bass, and also the rear channels are not used anywhere near as much as in the 5.1 track. My advice - upgrade to DD 5.1!
Extras are sparse, with the only thing being a standard trailer. There are various subtitle options, but these cannot be counted as extra features, because they are standard on just about every UK and US disc.
Overall then, a class film, especially if you like Jackie Chan`s style, but a dull disc. Still, at least we get a 5.1 track and a good anamorphic transfer. Buy it for the film, because that`s all you get!
