Kevin Garnett: KG
It seems basketball every team has their Michael Jordan and I'm sure every team in the league could release a DVD of a player at their best. This one is of Kevin Garnett. Though I'd never heard of him before, his ranking as one of the best has certainly got some backing to it. Olympic Gold medallist, NBA All-Star and NBA champion, his achievements first with the Minnesota Timberwolves and then with the Boston Celtics speak for themselves. The documentary shows his evolution from being the first basketball player in twenty years to be drafted from high school at nineteen to NBA glory. Though he doesn't have as many magical moments as Jordan or Bird, he certainly had some that make you just sit with your head in your hands wondering how in the world he did it.
This DVD is great at showing this and the footage of him on and off the court is fantastic. I kind of feel this DVD is really just to cash in on the NBA Championship victory in the 2007-08 season, but this is still a good retrospective of a great player and though his name is not spoken in the same breath as Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson or even fellow Celtic Larry Bird, he is certainly deserving of this set.
