Review for NBA Champions 2006-2007: San Antonio Spurs

8 / 10

The San Antonio Spurs are not one of the most well-known teams outside of America and with the dominance of teams like the Lakers, Bulls and Celtics, that's not surprising. However, when you actually look at their career, you do sometimes wonder why that is. Three-time NBA Champions, in the 2006-07 they made it four in less than a decade.

The team may not be full of names that the casual fan would know, but with players like Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili, the Spurs proved that they were a team to be feared in that season. Parker is also unique in being the first ever European-born MVP in the NBA and watching him play you can see why he earned that title. The action comes thick and fast and as with all NBA DVDs the footage is extensive and just remarkable to watch at times.

It has to be said that the NBA really knows how to package a DVD as this one is simply brimming with features and none of them are filler. There is a recap of the 1999, 2003 and 2005 NBA Finals for those who wanted proof that this wasn't just a flook win. There is a wealth of behind the scenes footage with the team and features on Tony Parker, Robert Horry and Michael Finley amongst others.

NBA Champions 2006-2007: San Antonio Spurs is a fantastic look at the 2006-2007 season and will be a great testament for Spurs fans and basketball fans alike. The Spurs show just why they won and this DVD is phenomenal in conveying this.
