Review for NBA Champions 2005-2006: Miami Heat

8 / 10

Shaq. That's all you need to know about this DVD. Miami Heat won this season with a phenomenal performance by Shaq who by this time was a 13-time All-Star and though the team is brimming with talent from the likes of Dwyane Wade, Udonis Haslem and Alonzo Mourning, it really is the sheer raw power of Shaq that steers this team ahead to victory. And boy do they do that.

For fans of the Heat, this season will probably live in infamy with victories over some huge teams, including the seemingly unstoppable Chicago Bulls. The finals saw the team face off against the Dallas Mavericks in an amazing series of games that are actually some of the best that I've seen. It seems weird to say that about a team I have literally no knowledge of, but the game playing of this team throughout the disk and season is spectacular and you can see why they won the season based on the performances they put on.

The extras go into detail on some of the players on the team including Gary Payton, Dwyane Wade and of course Shaq. I do wish with these DVDs they would start including full games or at least highlight reels from them, but then I guess that's what we get in the main feature and this is me just being greedy.

NBA Champions 2005-2006: Miami Heat is a great DVD of this season and it seems the further back in time the NBA go with these disks the better they are as I found this one of the best basketball DVDs I've seen so far.
