Synopsis:
Despite being one of the most injury plagued cards in UFC history, UFC 106 still presented another stacked card for fight fans.

Originally set to be a co-headline bout between Tito Ortiz and Mark Coleman, UFC comeback kid Ortiz was promoted to the main event in the event of Brock Lesnar's illness. Coleman dropped out and Forrest Griffin stepped in and we had Ortiz vs. Griffin 2.

Indeed, the two men had met previously in 2006. At the time Ortiz wasn't long removed from his light-heavyweight title run and Griffin was a brawling reality TV star. They served up an instant classic in which Ortiz escaped with a split-decision victory.

Forward three years and Griffin is also a former light-heavyweight champ, albeit coming off two losses, whilst Ortiz makes his UFC return after a year away.

Also on the card is the perfect villain Josh Koscheck, taking on surging knock-out machine Anthony 'Rumble' Johnson.
