Synopsis:
Donald Pleasence and Francoise Dorleac play a mismatched couple who share a bizarre sexual relationship, living in a remote castle on the tidal island of Lindisfarne. Their isolation from the outside world keeps them together but cracks soon appear with the unexpected appearance of two oddball gangsters on the run.

The gangsters (Lionel Stander and Jack MacGowran) demand shelter, and quickly make the couple hostages in their own home. While they wait for instructions from their gangland boss can the pretence of normality be kept up when visitors arrive unexpectedly...
