Review for Animal Impact
Have you ever seen an animal and thought: How do they do that? Well, this will be revealed in Animal Impact. This disk contains two documentaries that cover animals from the jungle and savannah and just how they do some of the remarkable things they do. This includes the attacks of the crocodile and tiger, the amazing flying escape of the snake and the chameleon's tongue. All of this is shown via stunning computer graphics breaking down the scene of the lion attacking, showing all the muscles and the claws retracting as it leaps in the air. It is pretty amazing and even more so when you see the wonderful quality of the footage.
Though the documentary is great, I do wish that there had been more focus. Although the main theme is on the 'superpowers' of these animals, there really should have been more of a focus such as an episode specific to attack and one for defence as it weaves in and out without much thought into the actual construction. However, the footage is wonderful and this small nitpick aside, it is a great look at these animals, what they can do certain and most importantly how?
