Not all time high, but not far off either. This film is great and there is actually some good spying done. The modern so-called spy films seem to have a secret agent doing all sorts of stunts and is typed as a spy movie when in fact its just an action movie. Even in the recent Bond movies, there seems to be little spying done and most of the plot unfolds from just following instincts. In this movie, good spy work and research is done. A dead British agent found with a faberge egg, leads Bond to an auction of these eggs and then he uses his cunningness to prove a hunch and that leads him to India. Roger Moore is not my favourite Bond but I have to admit, he does impress in this movie. Maude Adams looks stunning in Indian clothing. This is her second Bond movie and is the only Bond girl to appear in 2.
The picture is magnificent as the movie is more than 20 years old. The colours are bright and well saturated. The picture is very sharp and vibrant. The scenery of India is captured well.
The sound is a very good 5.1 although I felt it did lack a bit of sharpness in some scenes. Overall it was well done.

This is a special edition dvd but there arent that many extras. A short featurette about Peter Lamont was interesting. He designed most of the Bond sets and he and some other cast and crew members from all over, talk about his sets.
Inside Octopussy is your standard Bond making of featurette. Various cast and crew members recall the making of the movie and there is some good archive footage tossed in.
Also there are some storyboards of certain scenes, trailers and a music video.

Overall a great Bond movie on a very good dvd.

Octopussy is a very good Bond Movie and the DVD is great because it has a load of extra Features and everything else. One of Roger Moore`s best movies as Agent 007.
