    The weekend has landed
    Certificate: R
    Running Time: 84 mins
    Retail Price: $32.99
    Release Date:

    Synopsis:
The real story of youth in the nineties is this: chemicals, clubs, bars, pubs, pushing the vinyl, blagging the guest list, mobile phones, trainers, combats, care-less, monged, mashed, sorted, safe. And it`s right here in first time writer-director Justin Kerrigan`s Human Traffic, in all its pupil-dilated, teeth-grinding, club-hopping glory.

The film focuses on the lives and loves of five individuals, who spend their week working mundane jobs, waiting for the weekend so that they can immerse themselves in a whirl of pubs, clubs and parties.

Revolving around a single, meticulously planned and titanically drug-addled night out in Cardiff, Human traffic is the first and last word in club-culture.

With Pete Tong`s soundtrack and featuring Fat Boy Slim, Orbital, The Chemical Brothers, Underworld and Armand Van Helden, and cameos from DJ Carl Cox, cpmedienne Jo Brand and `Mr Nice` Howard Marks, Human Traffic treats you to one night out you won`t want to miss.

I think titling the movie "Human Trash" would be much more appropriate.
While trying to be artistic, this movie depicts the clubs and drugs scene at its worst, or in other words, very accurately. Since I`m completely detached from the reality described in the movie, I can only say that I pity the dumb fools who make their lives look like this.
The movie however, is content-less. No plot, no character development, no sub-plots, no twist. Nothing.
The video transfer is ok. There are no compression signs, but the picture seems a bit blurred or out of focus in several scenes. While this is acceptable while describing drug usage, this happens in many unrelated scenes as well.
The DD 5.1 soundtrack is good. While there are no sound effects at all, the surrounds are used for pumping up the (horrible) music and create the crowd noise of the clubs.
    The menus are all still.
There are no extras on this disk at all.
Bottom line - if you ever needed (another) reason for not doing drugs, watch this movie. Otherwise, you might as well save the 84 minutes of its running time. A complete waste of time.
