Personally I thought this film was a bit old.

Not much of a story line and the special effects left a lot to be desired, not even anyone famous in it!

Personally I wouldn`t even bother borrowing it from a mate.

Do yourself a favour and take a walk in the park instead.

An absolute classic and one of Hitchcock`s best films. Cary Grant gives his best performance and sizzles in the scenes with Eva Marie Saint. Add to this a great plot, an informative documentary and a bargain price and you have a dvd thatyou must own.

randy buckskin III Does not have an idea of what he is talking about. I dont think he has seen the film.

The Movie is a classic thriller that keeps you intrigued and in suspense. Everyone will love this film. Ever since the first time i saw it on BBC2, i have loved it. Romance Action Comedy Thrills, this movie has it all. Cary Grant plays a businessman who is mistaken for a spy and is abducted and taken to a mansion. Using his wits, he manages to escape but when he goes to the police and they investigate, no one believes him. Now he must try to find the spy he was mistaken for and sort all this mess out. It is a journey that will cross thousands of miles. Who can he trust? Who is really who they say they are? Intrigue, mystery and suspense surround this great Hitchcock thriller.

The picture is great considering how old it is and is very clear and sharp. The sound is great. It took time to create this DD 5.1 track but it goes great with Bernard Hermanns classic score.

The extras are plentiful. There are trailers and production stills, a seperate score only track, commentaries and a documentary. Brilliant stuff considering how old the movie is.

Overall a fantastic DVD that goes in my Top Ten list. A piece of treasure.

A true masterpiece. No words suffice to describe just how brilliant this movie really is.
Every single shot in the movie has "Hitchcock" written all over it.
Cary Grant and Eva Marie Saint give an amazing performance which is masterfully directed by the man himself - Alfred Hitchcock.
The script is truly brilliant and combines chills, thrills, laughs and romance.
The lunch scene on the train just oozes sex, but unlike recent movies, everything is subtle, yet romantic and funny.
The video transfer is superb. The restoration team did an unbelievable job in restoring the movie`s visuals. There is not a single scratch or dust particle to be seen and the movie does not look its age (oh well, the cars do, as does the fashion). There are no compression signs at all and the colors are slightly desaturated, which gives the movie a very authentic look.
The DD 5.1 soundtrack is very good. While there`s hardly any usage of the surrounds, the few scenes they are used in give a nice enveloping sound.
The disk also contains a track with the movie`s distinctive musical score. Superb!
The menus are animated with sound.
The extras include a commentary by the screenwriter, which is fascinating, a 40 minute behind the scenes look, hosted by the lead actress (still looking great at 76 years of age) and a picture gallery.
Bottom line - this is my favorite Hitchcock movie and it is presented in a wonderful disk. A must have.

An absolute classic, Hitchcock`s most entertaining film, though not his best. It`s marvellously presented here on DVD, a must for the collection. Now can we have a special edition of Psycho please?
