Synopsis:
A modern vampire tale, elevated from the usual trappings of fangs and garlic, Cronos is living evidence that the vampire movie is disturbingly undead, stylishly reworking the ancient themes of dread and desire in a sophisticated and unique way.
Jesus Gris is an impeccably dressed, distinguished old gentleman who sells antiques for a living. One morning he and his granddaughter Aurora discover a mysterious clockwork device in the base of an old statue that had once belonged to a 16th Century alchemist seeking eternal life. The scarab-like object is none other than the Cronos, which grants the user eternal youth in exchange for an unquenchable thirst for blood. Intrigued, yet horrified, Jesus is drawn into the grip of the Cronos with menacing and life-threatening consequences. Meanwhile Dieter and his evil nephew, Angel De La Guardia, hound the antique seller with deadly intent...
