Review of Flesh Gordon II

Introduction

I remember seeing this at a party many moons ago, I do believe that some young lad had got hold of a copy thinking it was hardcore porn. They were disappointed then and I`m as equally disappointed now. Now let me get one thing straight, as a woman I didn`t really have a great interest in this movie, I mearly watched it to reminisce on the past and my college days, honest.

Video

The picture quality is dreadful with a large amount of grain and some serious digital artefacts.
The only way this movie would benefit from a clearer picture is to see the many large breasted semi-naked females better, and that`s my husband`s opinion not mine. The effects in the film are ropey too, sometimes intentionally, to mirror those effects used in the original Buster Crabb era Flash Gordon shows.

Audio

Strident, too harsh, too much distortion and no sign of any surround sound...need I say more.

Features

just to top off this pile of steaming carbage is a filmography section about a group of actors and directors who never amounted to much. The only plus is for the men in the shape of a still picture gallery with, you guessed it, more large breasted semi-naked females. What a joy!

Conclusion

I can`t sum up the words to tell you how bad this DVD is. Actually that`s unfair to DVDs because if you could record over it with any other film, even Alien Resurrection, it would be a fantastic DVD compared to this ?@*!!%* rubbish.
