Synopsis:

This is a very stylish suspense thriller, with enough atmosphere (and scares) to last you a lifetime.
The video transfer is very good. There are no compression signs even during the numerous dark scenes. The saturated colors within the house are contrasted by an almost greyscale outdoors with extremely desaturated colors. Simply brilliant!
The DD 5.1 soundtrack is great. The channel separation is very important in movies of this kind and I`m glad to report that in this case, the sound engineers did a terrific job. The surrounds are constantly helping to enhance the eery atmosphere in the house.
The menus are animated with sound.
The extras on the 2nd disc include a behind the scenes look, demonstrations on the special effects used in the movie (100% seamless - who could`ve thought these are actual visual effects), a documentary about the disease portrayed in the movie and a picture gallery. For a 2-disc set, the extras are somehow lacking.
Bottom line - with an amazing storyline, scary atmosphere and brilliant performances, this is a movie to watch and a DVD to own.
