51st State, The (UK)

A groundbreakingly bad movie that must be seen to be believed.
It shows itself to be the lazily made amateur nonsense in the first few frames and sadly sinks lower and lower throughout.
The beginning opens with a small introduction to the characters, but rather than take the time to develop the story and script to let you know who these characters are and what part they play in the plot, a simple label pops up in a freeze frame of each of them stating their name and profession.
If the plot was even slightly enjoyable or believable then I may have been able to understand the hurry to get into the storyline.
But it`s not.
It`s the same old tired rubbish that we`ve seen countless times before.
The long lingering slow-motion shots of people walking along in long coats accompanied by some out of place hard techno clip, rapid editing and an equally bad script.
This really is a movie made for kids and morons, and whilst it`s been described as "entertaining drivel", I find quite depressing that this kind of movie sells or even gets made when so many original and innovative movies never see the light of day due to distribution and other financial problems.
On top of that, the picture`s crap too.
Do yourself a favour and avoid this garbage.

This is a good movie. There is a few extra features like director`s commentary,featurettes and trailer and more. 7/10.
