Your Opinions and Comments
My God, Ronan looks so sleek and sexy in his pin-striped suit - a lot thinner than he looked in the first concert on video at Albert Hall 2 years ago.
He sang most of the songs from the Destination album, with a few extras thrown in. His rendition of Brown Eyed Girl was breathtaking - Ronan was at his energetic and animated best during that track. And he was sooooo cheeky when he sang ILIWWD, with those suggestive movements he did during the chorus!!! OMG!
The flying act during Rollercoaster was definitely a highlight - how on earth was he able to sing so well, while doing somersaults mid-air!!????
The only disappointment was that there were times when the band music overpowered Ronan's voice - who could have thought that possible with Ronan's strong vocals! The sound technician obviously was not doing his job - he should have controlled the mix better. This was most evident during the Time For Love track.
They also included in the video all of Ronan's monologues between the tracks, where he shared his experience in Thailand, and where he was the moment the planes hit the World Trade Centre.
The whole vibe of the concert was captured perfectly in the video. There was so much energy and excitement in the crowd, in Ronan, and in the band. Ronan is so drop-dead gorgeous, so sexy, and so talented.
When you fans in UK and Europe get your copy soon, watch out for Ronan's faux pas with the lyrics during the WGT number. (Janet was fantastic in the duet by the way).
I recommend this DVD to anyone is a fan of Ronan Keating, or indeed a fan of great songs and great music!
watched it straight away and loved it!!!!!
there is not much more to add to the other reviews on this side-it`s all said....i only wanna say that it doesn`t really come across how fantastic the show was unless you were there!! i went to see ronan 5 times on this tour and must admitt that there were better gigs that should have been recorded instead.his voice was sooo strong during all the gigs, but something was obviously not quite right at wembley as his voice was sadly drowned by the music on some of the songs.
although you can just about imagine how much energy this man has while singing live there were better shows where the main man just wouldn`t stop jumping about and really gave a lot more than he did on the wembley night.
i really love it though when the crowd turns completely quiet to listen to ronan when he talks about aids or the 11th of september.it`s wonderful when someone like ronan can make people listen and can make a difference.
i although think the band and crew did a fantastic job and they deserve a lot of credit for all the work they did! without them destination 02 would have not been as fantastic as it turned out to be! and last but not least a special thanks goes out to janet, one of ro`s backing singers.i have heard ronan sing we`ve got tonight with three different singers and must say that no one is as good as janet. her voice is out of this world and i wish ronan would have recorded it with her.
anyway, i love the dvd and all the special features and will keep on watching it. roll on destination 03!!!!!
