Your Opinions and Comments
After watching it I can say I was quite impressed.
The story is thought provoking and progresses nicely (yet it`s not always linear). The camera work and the editing are quite superb.
I will only note that this movie is not for everyone, but that`s as far as I`d go. I wouldn`t want to ruin it for you by telling you stuff you`d better off figuring out by yourself.
The video transfer is good. There are no compression signs and the dark saturated colors are very well produced.
The DD 5.1 soundtrack is ok. The surrounds are used occasionally and help create the semi-haunting atmosphere.
The menus are still and silent.
The extras include a commentary by the crew, a behind the scenes look, some information about urban legends and 7 deleted scenes.
Bottom line - the movie is about gaining control over your life, and sometimes the best way to gain control over your life is to admit you don`t have any. If you think you`re open minded enough, give this movie a try. You won`t be disappointed.
"Urbania" revisited - February 2005
**************************************
It`s been over 2 years since I first watched the movie.
Having watched it for the second time I still think it`s really a thought-provoking example of just how good independent movies can be.
The movie is dark, mysterious, sad, yet it gives hope, solves the mystery and shows the happiness that can eventually be gained.
Don`t miss it. It`s a fine example of movie making.
