Your Opinions and Comments
The presidents brain is missing - well actually his whole being is.
The Plot
Rather unlikeable president of the USA has a stroke whilst involved in an illicit affair. At the same time a look-alike stand-in is walking the walk for the press. The powers behind the throne want to play out this role a little longer while they get things sorted out. So the stand-in has to stand in for a bit longer.
Whilst all the machinations are going on, the stand-in who is a likeable conscientious type, suddenly finds he can do things, he has influence, and starts changing government policy (for the better). He gets in his old accountant to help sort out the budget a bit, and reconnects with the (nearly ex-)presidents wife who have long been living separate lives.
How far can this senario go, what can he actually do? Can he make a difference? And what will happen to the powers behind the throne?
The Cast
Kevin Kline/Sigourney weaver deliver reasonable roles. as Presidenet/Stand-in and wife.
The Visuals/Audio
Nothing dramatic in the visual department, and just a stereo sound track. Its all dialogue and visual gags though, so we`re not missing much.
The Extras
A double sided disk, widescreen one side, TV 4:3 ratio the other - otherwise not a jot.
Summary
Its a great feel good movie. One to sit back with in an evening with a drink and some popcorn and just relax to with brain in neutral. The sort of thing you wish was true, but that knot of scepticism inside makes you think is impossible.
