Your Opinions and Comments
I was really hoping for a gory thriller, but instead got a semi-gory, thriller-wannabe.
The scenery was just right - a ghost ship in the middle of the ocean, some nice sound effects, moderate gore, but what the hell (pun intended) happened to the script???
The video transfer is very good. There are no compression signs to be seen and the visual effects are mostly excellent (especially the opening scene).
The DD 5.1 soundtrack is good. The surrounds are used to add some spookiness to the already spooky surrounding.
The menus are animated with sound.
The extras include a behind the scenes look with some explanations about the special effects, an interactive game and a dreadful music video.
Bottom line - sadly, other than the opening scene, this is yet another flop in the so-called horror genre.
In the beginning, you get some truly shocking scene with a bunch of people getting chopped up and then fall apart and then it gets horrible later on. Avoid.
