This review is for the region 1 disc.
"A perfect thriller", said the quote on the front cover of this disc. That`s true. But only if by "perfect" you mean "a good-for-nothing, worthless piece of junk".
As with everything else Soderbergh touches (with the unique exception of "Pleasantville" and "Erin Brockovich"), this movie is nothing other than a piece of worthless and incoherent compilation of poorly acted scenes. This was a rare occasion where I literally had to fast forward the movie from the 45th minute forward, and it was still boring!
The video transfer is ok. There are no visible compression signs and the colors are nicely saturated. The editing really sucks and the forward-backward in time thingie becomes annoyingly repetitive.
The DD 5.1 soundtrack is ok. The surrounds are used occasionally, but honestly - I couldn`t care less had the guns been shooting in mono. Yeah, the movie is THAT bad.
The menus are animated with sound.
The extras include 2 commentaries, an isolated music score and some production notes.
Bottom line - a dreadful movie that goes absolutely nowhere. Avoid like the plague.
