Synopsis:
A taut and edgy thriller that tells the story of reformed mobster Francis Sullivan (Edward Burns) who has started over after the gangland murder of his brother Sean (Elijah Wood), three years earlier. He has renounced his former lifestyle and settled down to a law abiding, semi religious way of life whilst "looking after" his brothers widow (Rosario Dawson) and child. Then the rumours begin and the threats return. Sean is alive and the old scores still need to be settled. The entire film is set in one day, Ash Wednesday in New York`s Hells Kitchen during the early 80`s.
