Synopsis:
Anna (Ann Eleonora Jorgensen), a recently graduated theologian, and her partner Frank (Lars Ranthe) long for a child but have all but given up hope, as Anna is unable to conceive. But when she takes a temporary position as chaplain at a women`s prison, Anna`s life is changed forever. A recently arrived inmate, Kate (Trine Dyrholm), who has been transferred from another prison, is rumoured to have special powers enabling her to perform miracles. Anna is initially sceptical but becomes intrigued when Kate tells her she is pregnant and the impossible proves to be true. Sadly, Anna and Frank`s joy is tempered when their doctor informs them of the possibility that the baby may be born with defects, leaving the couple to make a very difficult decision.
