Your Opinions and Comments
I discovered the joy of "Keeping Up Appearances" a couple of years ago on BBC Prime. Ever since, I always had a laugh when an episode was broadcasted.
So OK, I admit. The jokes are 100% repetitive, the characters have the same lines in almost every episode, but hey - I just love it. :)
The video transfer is good. There are no compression signs to be seen and the detail level is satisfying for a made-to-TV series.
The DD 2.0 soundtrack is adequate. While there`s no usage of the surrounds, Hyacinth`s voice is loud enough for the two front speakers.
The menus are animated with sound.
The 3 disc-set offers no extras at all, which is really shameful. I know for a fact that there`s a long bloopers reel that has not been included here.
Bottom line - always hilarious, though thoroughly repetitive, this is Hyacinth at her best.
