Your Opinions and Comments
Willie Nelsons 'Some Enchanted Evening' DVD is extremely harsh. I was
given this a few days ago and, stuck it
in my laptop to watch in peace. I have
to say, I was blown away by whole show.
Perhaps Sue is restricted in her choice
of music to Country only, or, she doesn't
like Willie. He is recognised as one of
the worlds greatest living legends, as a
singer/songwriter in many fields, not
just 'country' and, by his compatriots
in the music business as well as his legions of fans worldwide. The sheer
ability of the man is awesome and he
and the production team deserve better
press than she has given in her review.
Incidently, the band were of the highest
calibre session men and women.
Do NOT be put off by Sue Davies review!
If you are a fan, BUY it, see for yourself.

I suppose my gripe was with her saying most of the material did
nothing for her and, the fact she said, do not buy it.
I have since watched in on a big screen TV with some friends,
who thought it was wonderful. In fact, a couple of them were in
tears with the emotional impact, of how Willie put such feeling
into the material. The sound, we thought, was very good, in fact
the whole thing was. I tried to make a strong enough point, for
fans Not to be put off but, go and buy it.
It would be a sad place we live in if we all agreed about everything.
