Synopsis:
Tim Marlow discusses art, religion, and the environment with Gilbert Proesch and George Passmore (known collectively as Gilbert & George). The pair made a name for themselves in the early 1970s as performance artists (they adopted the term `living sculptures`, insisting that everything they do in their everyday lives is art), but were later known for their large scale photo-montages which often contained shocking and controversial images. In this fascinating documentary--shot at the Tate Modern--they reveal how it feels to be ostracized by the art community and the media, as they continue to push the boundaries of art, society, good taste, and decency.
