Synopsis:
You’re about to get personal with one of music history’s greatest – and loudest – heavy metal bands... Spinal Tap!
Whether or not you`re a die-hard fan of the group, you’ll love this detailed `Rockumentary` (if you will) of England’s legendary Spinal Tap. Acclaimed commercial director Marty DiBergi takes behind-the-scenes for an intimate look at the band whose time has come... and gone... and come again...
Through interviews, rare footage and lots of music – including classic Tap tunes like `Big Bottom` and `Hell Hole` – you’ll get acquainted with David St. Hubbins (lead guitar), Nigel Tufnel (lead guitar), Derek Smalls (lead bass) and every drummer who ever lived – and died – for this renowned rock band.
Be apart of the sights, sounds and smells of this celebrated heavy metal phenomenon. It’s an experience you’ll never forget. And as for the special edition? Well, it`s the same film... only louder.

Your Opinions and Comments
Now I don`t have widescreen or a fancy sound system so I can`t really comment on the quality of the picture and sound [I watch my dvd`s on a 14" portable] But according to the box it`s 5.1 soundtrack and it has English and German subtitles.
As far as the extra`s go the 2 disk set it full of em. This disk has one of the best commentery tracks I`ve heard with the cast of the band in character talking about the film. It also has an in character interview with Rob Reiner in character as Marty DiBergi. The disk also has 4 Spinal Tap video`s, the usual trailer and tv spots. Disk 2 also contains over an hour of Never-Before-Seen-Footage with lots of scene`s or alternative scene`s cut from the film... Only thing that might have been nice would be Rob Reiner doing a commentry but as he`s narating the film it`s probably kind of pointless
Excelent movie, excelent extras
A+ from me....
