Your Opinions and Comments
A lot had been said about this movie, but I found it rather ordinary.
Sure, the visuals are ok and the sound is great, but the story is not THAT exciting.
The video transfer is great. All the explosions look real and the dark scenes (and there are quite a few of those) are rendered with no signs of compression.
The DD 5.1 soundtrack and the DTS soundtrack are both excellent. All the sub`s hums and groans sound painfully real. The dialog is also very clear and quite directional (which really sounds nice - as if you are inside a sub).
The menus are beautifully animated with nice effects (torpedos and explosions).
The extra features include all the regular stuff with some nice documentaries about
the Enigma and some famous WWII battles. The commentary is also quite nice.
All in all, a nice action movie, despite the occasional lack of excitement in it. Give it a try.
