Review of Manchester United : The Big Game Interactive

Introduction

If I need to tell you anything about Manchester United then this DVD is not for you. All you need to know is that they are the second most succesful football club in England after Liverpool.

This DVD is a quiz based on the team, with lots of different rounds based on different aspects, including match scores, which way penalties went, quotes and squad facts.

Video

A 4:3 NTSC picture, even though this is a region 2 DVD. Another of those lazy decisions, as they`ll be selling lots of copies of this DVD in non-PAL regions no doubt...

Audio

A DD2.0 stereo soundtrack, which does its job, providing you`re not annoyed by the voice of the commentator who dare not speak his name who narrates the game.

Conclusion

I`m a Liverpool fan so this DVD was like a red (devil) rag to a bull. So I didn`t enjoy this game very much at all, apart from the Know Your Enemy round which is about Premiership in general, so I got all of those right.

But I would question the value of another Man U quiz DVD, since why would you really want to answer more questions about your club? I wouldn`t want a Liverpool quiz DVD, so why would a Man U fan want 2 Man U quiz DVDs?

A passable diversion for a short while, but no real long term value. If you do complete the game you can register on manutd.com to win a prize.
