All classic films and all should be in the top 20.
RE: Street Fighter II DVD petition (please help)
I brought the DVD when it came out, what footage has been left out?
Vote for Superman II Donner version at Home theatre forum!
Warner did a recent chat online and some one brought up the topic of a new Superman II DVD with more of Richard Donner`s material ie Marlon Brando footage, a new begining etc.
Check it out at this link and leave your thoughts. Cheers

Best Widescreen TV with Comb Filter?
I want to get a 32 inch flat screen widescreen TV. I had a look in the Sony store in Cambridge but Sony charge why to much. So what is the best brand to go for in terms of prices and features. ( I need a decent comb filter for my LaserDisc player ).
RE: R2 star wars: phantom menace (what do you think??)
On the AVS forums and Home theatre forum they have been discussing the DVD and LD versions of the phantom Menace. The LD wins on sound. The DVD`s db level is way to low. This DVD will not become a demo disc to show off to your friends. I think Superman SE holds that rank.
RE: superman special edition. Which region?
It looks like Superman 3 and 4 won`t be released over here for some time. Superman III is owned by Arrow film distributors in Europe. MGM own the Cannon library and Superman IV was released by Warner in Canada and the USA but Cannon released SIV in Japan and Europe so maybe MGM may release Superman IV with better extras for example the complete cut and a DD5.1 soundtrack. Ilya salkind is sueing Warner for breaking a agreed contract not release Superman 3 and 4 in any other forms like DVD of example.

RE: superman special edition. Which region?
Get the R2 version box set with Superman I and II in. The box looks very funky. If you don`t want Superman II get the R4 because its not a snapper case.
RE: laser disc v dvd
If you have a top of the range LD player models LD-S9 or the High definition players with filter seperation then LD look just as good as DVD`s. Get a LD player just for the novelty value.
RE: Any laserDisc collectors here?
Nothing to do with your players. The discs are rotted. Its called laser rot!
RE: Any laserDisc collectors here?
The sound for the DVD is compressed to store more data. The LD has a seperate audio track that is not effected by compression.
Any laserDisc collectors here?
Having owned a Laserdisc player ( Sony MDP V9K )for only a year now I have began to build up a quality list of LD`s, I have some rare titles like Fight Club better DD5.1 than the DVD, Willow ( Japanese version with extras, Phantom Menace and Superman IV widescreen. I have about 40 titles. Also being a DVD owner I have noticed alot of people purchased Superman the movie, well done everyone this is probably one of the best DVD`s you can buy. I was so annoyed with Warner for giving the sequels such s***y treatment, I would of loved to hear Superman III in 5.1 but I suppose we will all of the wait for them to release another version with decent extras.
