uh forgive my ignorance but what will the upgrade disc to to the player i.e will it remove the hack or anything like that.

i used the multiregion hack for this player, but when playing a region1 dvd the picture quality was not as good as on a region 2 dvd and the screen was not aligned properly a white strip thing at the top of the screen. Has anyone else had this problem and is there a way to fix it?
