Or does it have to be chipped?

Can anyone help on this one? I`ve read elsewhere about a software upgrade but the files aren`t in the public doamin or something - anyone know any way of getting this to be multi-region?

The Philips 750 hack I mentioned is the one given on this site but I think this is the same as the RC6 one - it is given as the hack for the Philips DVD750 whereas my model is 756!

Philips 756 Region 1 Hack?

I recently bought a Philips 756 DVD player and was wondering whether any hacks exist to play Region 1 discs on this?

I have read about the Philips 750 hack but not sure whether this covers this player as well.

If it does, once this has been done, will the player play both R1 and R2 discs or do you have to keep swapping between the two? If so, is there a limit on the number of changes you can do? And, are there any known effects of this hack for this player?

I am a complete novice when it comes to regionhacking etc and any help you can offer would be great!!
