5.1 Question

I recently bought a Schneider DVD855 which has a coaxial output for digital audio and has DOLBY DIGITAL and DTS logogs on the front.
If I plug this into a decoder will it give me 5.1 and 6.1 surround depending on the DVD being played?
And what is an affordable solution to buy?
Affordable should read on a shoestring!

RE: Which of these plays CD-R & reviews please

I dont know about the Schneider DV855S but I have a Schneider DVD 855 and that will play both CD-R and CD-RW
And has features beyond most more expensive players
Only downside is it doesnt have optical output to Dolby decoder only analogue coaxial but you cant really tell the difference

RE: Schneider DVD 855 Multi Region Hack???

The VCD playback of this model is fine, the three films Ive watched have all worked OK.

Ive watched about 15 DVD titles on it so far including Loser, Battlefield Earth, The 6th Day. Every title has played without glitch.

Im very impressed with the quality and features of the player.

Well done to ASDA for a quality product at a realistic price
