I tried this method on my aiwa xd-dv170 player (reg2?) from japan and i tried playing a reg1 dvd after (liar liar) and it did not work. is there another way or a kit to make this multi-region? i`m desperate!

Hi, the aiwa xd-dv170 hack posted on this site did not work for my player purchased in japan. i was able to execute the osd,top menu,menu,factory sequence, but when i tried a region3(liar liar) dvd, code error still displays.
can somebody help me?
