Having issues with my Oritron DVD600 version 005

I am having some serious issues with my Oritron DVD600 version 005. I am curious about a couple of things..... first of all I bought my DVD player back in the states and recently got transferred to the UK. I found a few DVD`s over here that I`ve NEVER been able to find back in the states. I did the hack and I`m having problems with scrolling on region 2--I`m assuming it`s because of the NTSC/PAL conversion. Now is this my TV or my DVD player? obviously both are from the US. Is it possible to change the Oritron to a PAL and still have the same problem because my television is NTSC?? Please help, this is SO frustrating!!!

FYI--I have a Samsung television which is only about 3 years old.
