RE: hi guys, please recommend a solid all round dvd player

look no further than the toshiba SD210E. I got a multi region one for £180 from sound and vision

It was £178 from www.bedirect.com but I live near s and v in Bolton lancs

widescreen TV selection dilemma

At present I have my Toshiba SD210E stand alone DVD player connected via phono leads to my HIFI for audio and my 21" Nicam TV via RGB scart socket for picture.
I now want to buy a 28" nicam widescreen TV to replace my aging TV (resonably quickly before the sales end!)
I dont want to pay silly money but would want the option to add a digital sound amp and speakers in the future.
In case I go for the amp/speakers in the future do I need a TV that has component video output and does that replace the scart or suppliment it?
Can you guys suggest a good set for up to £500
what are your views on 50 or 100 Hz TVs?
what are your views on flat screen v conventional?

advice on buying widescreen TV please

I have purchased a Toshiba SD210E DVD which is a great piece of kit. I have it connected to my HIFI for audio and my 21" Nicam TV. I am not getting the best from the DVD player and am at present considering replacing the TV with a 28" widescreen one. I dont want to pay silly money for the whole "cinema experience"
I am not interested in TV packages such as SKY etc and do not particularly enjoy surround sound as it is a bit overbearing. I want digital picture output from the DVD and use the audio from my HIFI.
If I buy a widescreen TV which is purely Nicam stereo will the DVD player deliver DIGITAL signals to the TV or do you need to go to pro logic TV or are you forced to have a TV with a digital decoder built in ? I have also heard that flat screen TV and 100 HRZ picture is good to go for. Any comments would be greatfully received as to what TV / make to go for, as when you go into a store the salesmen know less than me !

toshiba sd210e wont playcdrw with mp3

I just bought a toshiba sd210e dvd player and the guy at the toshiba helpdesk said it should play CDRW disks containing MP3 files but it doesnt
I spotted this on cdrom-guide.com but dont follow what the guy is saying
The MP3 files must be 44.1kHz sampling frequency but can be at 32 - 320kbps bitrate. My 160kbps/44.1kHz ones worked fine, but a 22Khz sampled one just played silence.
help!!
