RE: Asda + TV Licence

Why all the fuss? ok i know it`s a cheek, but when i had to fill this form in i used a fake address, i have a tv licence (but might not renew it so i can get the extra 6 month free) but don`t see why i should have to fill the form in.

Watch out for shops (dixons curry comet....) that get your details by asking for your details "for your guarantee" if they say that, just tell them you don`t want to give your details, as you don`t want your info stored on there computer system, that messes with there mind.

IF your tv/video breaks and you have a home visit guarantee, then they still have to call out, and if they refuse as your not on there system, then it`s a "computer fault, and if they don`t come out, you`r going to the local trading standards" after all you have your recipt!

As for needing a licence, a friend of mine doesn`t have one as he only has a large screen computer monitor and DVD player, the licence police called at his house told him he NEEDED a licence as it could pick up tv, it even went as far as going to court, before they agreed it couldn`t pick up tv!! talk about a waste of money!

RE: Queer As Folk - Series 1 & 2 - Region 2 DVD

i think if my local "exchange" shop knew about this price i wouldn`t have got them today for £12 for BOTH series!, oh i`m happy i went in today :)

now to find the 3some from the 2nd series, it was filmed, trailed (at the end of ep1) but wasn`t shown in ep2?

RE: Sky are broadcasting in DTS 5.1 now, but are there any Digiboxes out there...

I don`t think "not sure" was meaning that they ARE going to be.. but we all know what happend when skydigi first came out, the first people to get it had to pay £200, and had a choice of errr 1 box! then the "free box" offer started, and sky shot up with members, with a choice of boxes.

And if you look at it now, your paying Sky £300+, for sky+ with a choice of 1 box! when an ordinary TIVO can be bought for £150-200, the only difference is that this sky box can output 5.1 were as TIVO has NO digital output!

So i think what he was saying was, if they start to sub them, and sell at "cost price" then people will want them,

But isn`t this sky+ a con, i mean you pay to use sky and you have to pay again if you want to record! so infact your paying out 3 times! and that could be £1000 in the first year!

And as for the Sony, it`s an errr "sony silver" color

RE: Futureent *WARNING* (but not really there fault)

I got my Credit card bill today and noticed that over 3 days, this company took over £150 from my card!

All of the films are NOT out until next year, so why are they doing this? If I can order from Play and they take the money out when the film is sent why can`t these?

Spoke to a friend who works for the C.A.B and he says what there doing is ILLEGAL! As they`re taking money for goods they can not yet supply.

And if they were to go bust I wouldn`t get a penny back, as all transactions are UNDER £100! So while I`m paying now for films, who is making the interest on OUR money.

I`ve now cancelled my orders, and don`t think I`ll be using these again, anybody used Ringos? I know on a lot of stuff there expensive, but on some they`re only 1p more then play and these.
