Yes, thats what happened to me, it auto detects if there is a video source connected and turns off the macro.
So im not sure why theres a Macrovsion OFF mode too??

(When you say COPY of your DVD, you obviously mean BACKUP right?)

I did use the Hack that Colin Suggested
Which is a bit misleading cos there is no SETUP button on the front panel.

1. Press " SET UP" on the Remote
2. Press " STOP"
3. Press " PREVIOUS" <<
4. Press " NEXT >>

Then you get the Factory Menu on Which you can do things like Disable Macro or Have it on Auto (Auto Kicks in if u got it connected to a Source like VCR)

You can set the region to BYPASS in the menu, which will enable playing of all region discs including RCE discs.

You can also do stuff like Disable the CSS encryption (Not sure what you would use that for)

I have so far Played CDR (VCDs, Audio and Pure MPEG) and tha same on CDRW, also Played R1 and R2 DVDs, also Region zero DVDs, Silvers and My own DVD-R and DVD-RW with no problem.

Am pleased with the unit for the money, only downside is the loader drawer seems to be a bit flimsy.

I got one !!!!
And im impressed, has played All DVDs of all Regions, including silvers and my own DVD-Rs and DVD-RWs created on the Pioneer A03 DVD Burner.

I used the Hack to get into the Secret menu and Make it Multi region, and Joy of Joys, there is also a Menu to Disable Macrovison.

Bargain at 99 quid.

I in fact bought 2 more as christmas prezzies.

Did u get this from Makro, i tihkn saw this player there and was interested, but coludnt remember the name, however your post has reminded me, is the the One? If so and i can be multiregion i`ll get one.
