Sony NS 300 - Surround Sound?

Can anyone advise on the quality of the surround sound feature that comes with this machine. I have stereo TV and am trying to decide if I should purchase a seperate surround system at the same time. Any advice on surround systems is most welcome, limited budget

RE: Toshiba or Sony? Help me decide.

Both machines came out really well in a recent Daily Mail survey the Toshiba scoring 10/10 and Sony 8/10. Cheapest place I found by far www.tectronics.com. They`ll even chip it for multi region for about £10 on a new machine. I`ve been trawling sales myself and still can`t find anyone to beat this site. Friends who have used it for purchaseses speak very highly of service.
