RE: hack for zenix z-315l-s?anyone help?

Hi, just checked it against the instruction sheet they gave me and I`ve typed it correctly. Can`t think why it doesn`t work as it worked first time on my machine. When I bought mine in John Lewis, they had a supply of the multi-region setting instructions sitting on top of the display model - if you`re near a John Lewis that still stocks this model you could see if they`ve got the instruction sheet there. Can`t think of anything else to suggest - sorry.

RE: hack for zenix z-315l-s?anyone help?

Hi. I bought the Zenix Z-315L-S about six weeks ago, and the shop actually provided me with details of the hack. Here it is:

1. Turn power on and select relevant AV channel on TV
2. Push `STOP` twice on remote control
3. Press `1999` on remote control - hidden set up menu will show on TV screen.
4. Ensure region code is highlighted using up/down arrow keys on remote control.
5. Press `OK` on remote control
6. Using up/down arrow keys on remote control, select ` 0 - ALL AREA`
7. Press `OK` on remote control
8. Exit menu screen by pushing `SET UP` on remote control

It worked fine, and you can easily change it back to region 2, or any other region, using this method.

RE: Problems playing Region 1 DVDs after a remote hack

Thanks very much for the help Chris. I`ve found how to change the DVD player setting to NTSC, and it`s done the trick - it plays properly now. Will have to switch manually each time I watch a Region 1 disc as there`s no `auto` setting, but that`s no problem. Thanks again.

Problems playing Region 1 DVDs after a remote hack

I recently bought a DVD player (ZENIX) that came with remote hack instructions to make it region free. I carried out the hack, but on playing my first Region 1 DVD from the US, I found that it does not run as smoothly as it should. Difficult to describe, but the picture seems to constantly jump very slightly. Region 2 discs play normally, so it doesn`t seem to be a faulty player. I`ve tried switching it to Region 1 only, but it doesn`t help. Has anyone else had this problem with Region 1 discs? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
