RE: Does Argos`s 3 Way Scart Switch Support RGB Input & Output ?

Get yourself a CPC catalouge , check www.cpc.co.uk
(part of the Farnell group)

They have more scart stuff than you can shake a stick at, and at very reasonable prices too. They are expensive for computer gear, however.

RE: Viewing on a non widescreen TV with a Dansai 852

I have the same problem when watching some rented films.
I try to avoid widescreen films but this isn`t always possible.

I`ve found that changing the mode to Wide does help a bit. As you say there is still a loss of about 1/3 of the picture. My other trick is to then zoom to 1.5x which works well but gives a very pixalated picture.

I just can`t get used to widescreen and therefore will never buy a telly in that format.

4:3 rules!

RE: Sky digibox Problem ?

Just an idea for you.

My brother had a problem with his sky box and thought of getting a new
one for £20 (from agent in Makro), sky wanted £60 to fix/replace his box.

He decided to go ahead and therefore cancelled his subscription with sky.
They took him all the way through the cancellation and at the very end
they offered to send an engineer to fix his system for free if he stayed with them. The engineer turned up a few days later and replaced his sky box.

The seem very eager to keep their viewers!

Dansai 852 lookalikes?

I`m trying to get my hands on a machine as similar as possible to the Dansai 852, but everywhere is sold out here in S.Wales.

Are there any other places that I might find one? So far I have:-

Dansai 852 - Tesco £99.49
Decca DDV 2110 - Powerhouse £109.99
Naiko DVD - Makro £99

I`m just after a cheap DVD player that plays as many formats as possible.

Thanks.
