RE: AKAI 3140 hack
I just bought this DVD player and tried the hack and for multi region it works a treat but you say use the cursor to select either region or macrovision, how ? I tried this and only the region option is shown. Is it possible newer machines have had this option disabled ?
RE: Pacific 750 pauses repeatedly during playback, help needed
sorry, my fault, didn`t read your post properly. No it only pauses once in a while, maybe 3-4 times at most in a whole movie. Try contacting Schneider who make the player and see what they say at ofni[at]moc.kuredienhcs

RE: Pacific 750 pauses repeatedly during playback, help needed
I am a newbie as well but as I understand it if a DVD is duel layer which I guess is most of them there will be a slight pause as it reads the layers. Some DVDs warn you of this on the back cover [check small print] I would guess the more expensive models have a way around this. In any cause mine is the same so you are not alone :-)
RE: pacific dvd player
This player is supposed to play cd-rw disks, i have been trying to find out which but as yet no luck, not even the guys at schneider were any help so if you find any that work could you post what make they were, cheers. By the way they also told me this player wasn`t multi region but i haven`t tested that yet.
Pacific dvd-750
Being new to this DVD lark I just bought the above player from Asda where it seems a lot of other people got there`s from. The player says it will play CD-RW and as I only have 2, a Samsung and a Verbatim both of which don`t work i wondered if anybody knew which ones did ? To be fair the book does say that not all CD-RW will work. Any other info on Pacific players would be nice as well, hopefully i haven`t bought a duff player :-) cheers and happy new year :-)
