RE: Linux Vs Windows.
I know alot of you seem to have problems with windows but I have to say it works perfectly, just get a well specced pc keep all software / patches upto date, and it works. I use NT/2000/XP to do heavy duty processing and some machines have been running for almost a year without even a restart.
RE: Has anyone used 101cd.com?
I have purchased a few cds from them with no trouble, not quite as quick delivery as cdwow though.
RE: SCAN SC440SL NEW MODEL?? ANY THOUGHTS/ADVICE PLEASE
Have to say I would avoid it like the plague. A bit harsh I know but if you are happy having to forever send a player back to scan for repair, ot if you like upgrading firmware... go for it.
As you say it does look good.
RE: CD WOW card probs.
Electron Cards do not work with a lot of internet sites, SOLO cards can cause problems with some as well. A petrol station I go to wont take Electron or Solo cards either.
RE: LCD Remotes
I have a 2MB Philips Pronto touch screen LCD, works very well and completely customisable and controls a theoretical "unlimited" number of devices (memory allowing). I have it working with Sky Digital, Kenwood AV Amp, Aiwa CD, Ferguson VCR, Pioneer DVD525 and a Scan SC3000, Decca Widescreen TV . Toshiba TV all with no problems.
Only problem with these remotes is the price (£150 - £200), available from Richer Sounds, Keene Electronics etc.
Also you can hook it up to your PC and customize it wih graphical buttons and fancy layouts.
RE: CD wow Shrek
So far all the DVDs I have had from CD wow have been R1
RE: Buffy on Sky One last night
I did see it and I wasnt that impressed either. And yes my picture suffered terrible interferance at the end as well, first time I have had a problem like that.
RE: Considering buying a widescreen TV - recommendations needed please !
I got a 32" Decca widescreen tv from Tempo just as they were closing a store for £275, it gets a very good sharp picture and good built in sound as well.
Again not a top tv name, but excellent for what I paid.

RE: Eltax Atmoic A8 sub-woofer - Any good?
I purchased one from maplins, www.maplin.co.uk, and I have been very impressed with it. It creates sound you truly feel!
